Bienerth elected Hungarian Swimming Federation head
Budapest, January 8 (MTI) – An extraordinary general assembly of the Hungarian Swimming Federation elected Gusztáv Bienerth president of the federation on Sunday.
Bienerth, aged 62, is vice-president of Budapest’s 2024 Olympic bid, and government commissioner in charge of tourism.
Bienerth will replace Tamás Gyárfás, who resigned from the post last November in the wake of repeated calls by several swimmers including three-time Rio Olympic champion Katinka Hosszú and coaches.
