Foreigners Spent More In Hungary Last Year
Budapest, July 30 (MTI) – Foreign visitors to Hungary last year spent more money and more time in the country than in the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.
The most visitors arrived from Slovakia, Austria and Romania, according to the KSH’s tourism in 2013 report.
Fully 44 million foreign tourists visited Hungary last year, 0.2 percent more than in 2012.
The number of weekenders spending typically 1-3 days in the country rose significantly — by 10 percent year on year — while longer holidays above four days rose by 3.8 percent, the KSH said.
