Hundreds Of New Traffic Checkpoints Will Be Installed In Hungary
Motorist will be observed by 160 mobile and 365 fix”complex traffic checkpoints”. The system would have three functions: to modernize the assessment of road tolls, identify those who exceed the speed limit and penalize them, and finally; the police would obtain information about where are people travelling to.
That’s already sure now that cars will be observed by cameras both afore and form behind at the checkpoints. Registration plates will be observed and identified. The system would be capable to measure both instantaneous and average speed. The police will use this system to penalize scorchers. The installation of the system will cost 5 billion forints.
However, there is still no information about the location of the fix checkpoints.
