Hungary’s public media group MTVA is launching a new sport channel M4 Sport on 18 July. With the new sport channel, the media group aims at presenting events linked to the 16 branches of sport that receive higher than average central support in Hungary, telesport.hu reported.
The sport channel will broadcast 10 hours of live television programmes daily. In Hungary, M4 Sport enjoys the exclusive broadcasting rights for various sport events including the Formula 1, the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, and the UEFA Champions League.
“From 18th of July, we will be launching a new channel, named M4 Sport, which will be a must credit channel for every service provider, therefore it will be available for everyone,” said MTVA CEO Zsolt Laszlo Szabo. “M4 Sport will mainly focus on Hungarian sport events, but two popular international sport competitions, namely the Formula 1 and the UEFA Champions League, will also be broadcasted through it,” he added.
Of course, other international sport events of the following year, such as the UEFA Euro 2016 or the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, could also be watched on M4 Sport.
