Hungary signs 3-year education exchange with Israel

Jerusalem (MTI) – Hungary’s state secretary for higher education has signed a three-year education exchange programme with the Israeli education ministry. The programme running until 2019 will give increased focus to education on the Holocaust in Hungary, László Palkovics told MTI late on Sunday. The programme includes a training of additional Hungarian history teachers in cooperation with the Jad Vasem Institute, he said, noting that so far 500 Hungarian teachers had participated in such a training. Hungary urges direct talks between Israel, Palestine

Budapest, May 2 (MTI) – Stopping violence in the Middle East is a prerequisite to building effective cooperation between Europe and that region, the Hungarian foreign minister said on Monday. Budapest, May 1 (MTI) – Police have detained two Hungarian suspects in connection with the killing of an Israeli citizen whose body was discovered in a building in Tiszakecske, in eastern Hungary, on Saturday. According to index.hu, the police of Kecskemét are searching for Gross Ofir, 40-year-old Israeli citizen. His sister even contacted us on Facebook to help her find her brother.
