Der Brunnen wurde 2001 erbaut, als die Stadt beschloss, ihren Hauptplatz vollst\u00e4ndig zu renovieren. In der Mitte des Brunnens ist der Ph\u00f6nixvogel zu sehen, der die Wiedergeburt von Debrecen symbolisiert. Brunnen ist eines der Hauptsymbole von P\u00e9cs, des Kreises Baranya und auch dessen bekanntester Er befindet sich im s\u00fcdlichen Teil des Sz\u00e9chenyi-Platzes und zieht seit seiner Erbauung war Ungarns erster Musikbrunnen, der am 19. August 1979 enth\u00fcllt wurde, und wurde innerhalb von drei Monaten gebaut. Der Brunnen erinnert an die Helden und Opfer der gro\u00dfen \u00dcberschwemmung, die Szeged im Jahr 1879 heimsuchte.
