La competizione \u00e8 il terzo evento sportivo pi\u00f9 grande del mondo visto da centinaia di milioni o anche pi\u00f9 di un miliardo di persone. La sede principale dell&#8217;evento sportivo sar\u00e0 il nuovissimo centro nazionale di atletica leggera ungherese nella parte meridionale della citt\u00e0, Ferencv\u00e1ros (9\u00b0 distretto).
