Government to rebuild this beautiful tower in the Buda Castle – PHOTOS
The original tower was damaged during WWII and instead of renovating the government then decided to demolish it.
According to the Facebook page of the National Hauszmann Program, the government now decided to rebuild the spire which was once part of the NĂ¡ndor Street building of the Hungarian National Archives.
Interestingly, they will build a new wing to the archives designed originally by Samu, but never erected because of the lack of money after WWII. Based on the plans, the Archives’ new information and visitor centre will be there.
They added in the post that within the framework of the program, they are going to renew and fill with modern content an area that was restricted before.
Furthermore, this development will enable the Hungarian National Archives to satisfy all needs of those who will visit the building.
