Health-care professionals to get 20% pay rise
Health-care professionals will get another, 20 percent pay rise from November 1, the Human Resources Ministry said on Sunday.
The increase is the third one of a gradual pay rise programme for nurses approved in 2018. The programme has raised health-care workers’ salaries by a combined 42 percent over the past two years.
The government has earmarked 82 billion forints (EUR 223m) this year for the pay increases for some 81,000 health-care professionals and 4,000 health visitors.
The next step of the pay rise programme, a 30 percent salary increase, will take effect in January 2022.
