Police arrested a penguin today in Budapest – here is why, PHOTOS
Police officers caught the animal on one of the most crowded streets of Budapest this morning. Here is the story.
According to the Budapest Police Headquarters, officers noticed the frightened animal when it stepped in front of a car this morning on the Dózsa György street, one of the most crowded places in the Hungarian capital. Volunteers of the community watched and helped the officers as they stopped the road traffic to catch the penguin. They carefully grabbed the bird and wrapped it in a blanket.
The police immediately notified the Budapest Zoo but
took a photo with the animal before returning it.
Finally, they carried it to the Budapest Zoo, where the penguin lives. Nobody provided information on how the penguin managed to escape from the zoo.
