Verstappen secures pole position for Hungarian Grand Prix
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen secured his maiden pole position in qualifying for Sunday’s Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix.
Lining up alongside him on the front row will be Valtteri Bottas for Mercedes, with teammate Lewis Hamilton rounding out the top three.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished fourth ahead of teammate Sebastian Vettel. Red Bull’s Pierre Gasly came 6th.
Lando Norris qualified 7th and Carlos Sainz 8th to make it an all-McLaren fourth row.
Haas driver Romain Grosjean and Alfa Romeo’s Kimi Raikkonen completed the top 10.

The 34th Hungarian Grand Prix will begin at 15:10 (3:10pm) CET on Sunday. The Hungaroring circuit lap length is 4.381 kilometres and drivers will complete a distance of 306.663 kilometres in the 70-lap race.
