- ???? Due to increased migration, the Austrian Minister of Defence and Minister of the Interior are sending 400 soldiers to the Austrian-Hungarian border. If necessary, Austria can send up to 2,000 soldiers to the Hungarian border. Details HERE.
- Austria has tightened control at the border with Hungary due to an increased inflow of illegal migrants, Austrian news agency APA said on Tuesday, read more HERE.
- ? A new vaccination campaign aimed at people over the age of 60 will start this week, while anyone who received the second jab at least four months prior will be able to book an appointment for a third shot, an official said today.

- The Hungarian police are launching an application dubbed OBBPoint which rewards drivers who comply with speed limits with points, police.hu said on Tuesday. The scheme was “the first of its kind in the world”, offers reward points which can be used to get discounts and gifts in shops and for various services.
- Revenue from foreign visitors totalled 1,054 billion forints last year, a drop of 54 percent from 2019, KSH said. Their average spending fell from daily 16,700 forints in 2019 to 14,900 forints last year, details HERE.
