What happened today in Hungary? – November 2, 2021
- From 1 November, the government reintroduced mandatory mask-wearing on public transport, spas, baths, universities, schools. However, there are still many public spaces, where it is still not obligatory. The rule applies both to vaccinated and non-vaccinated people. However, Budapest locals would like even further restrictions because the virus spreads quickly again in Hungary.
- In Romania, several TV shows talk about the finding of the body of a non-Romanian child in Arad. Analysts argue that there were no Romanian reports on the disappearance of a child of a similar age. The body was found close to the Hungarian border on Sunday. The killer mutilated and set the corpse on fire, details HERE
- Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, in a letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Tuesday, repeated his call on the commission to reimburse Hungary’s border protection costs. Read more HERE.
