Talking at the European Parliament’s plenary session in Brussels, MEP Márton Gyöngyösi ((Non-attached) noted the importance of creating peace and stability in Ukraine before the country could become a full member of the European Union.
‘It’s happened before that a divided country became a new member of the community and we still struggle with the negative consequences to this day,’ the MEP said, likely referring to the status of Cyprus that joined the EU in 2004.
According to Gyöngyösi, peace has two major preconditions in Ukraine: first, the country’s territorial integrity must be restored and second, Ukraine must ensure minority rights for all its ethnic groups. As for the latter, the MEP believes the EU has a role, too: it should share its tried and true practices with Kyiv.

If the territory needs to be secured, as Gyöngyösi states, then Hungary must openly and strongly demand that Russia leaves Ukraine. It is not theirs, it has not been theirs, and it should never be a Russian state like Hungary was in the last century. Russia destroyed Hungary on its way out, and will do the same to Ukraine. Is this what Hungary wants? Does Hungary want to be a satilite of Russia agian? NO NO NO! Next they will call the Terror Museum a propoganda outlet!
