Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has held talks in Malta

Budapest, March 29 (MTI) – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met Democratic Party of Albania leader Lulzim Basha in Malta on Wednesday, ahead of the European People’s Party congress, Orbán’s press chief said.

Hungary’s ruling Fidesz and the Democratic Party of Albania are both co-members of the EPP.
Basha and Orbán were in agreement that stability in the western Balkans is a key issue for the future of Europe, Bertalan Havasi said in a statement. Hungary wants to promote this by all possible means, Orbán said.
The talks focused on current European political issues and ways to strengthen Hungarian-Albanian economic and political relations, the statement said.
The sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and regularly exchange experiences.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has held talks with Pedro Agramunt, president of the Council of Europe’s parliamentary assembly, in Malta, ahead of a congress of the European People’s Party (EPP). The two officials discussed the migration crisis and legal issues connected with the defence of Europe’s external border, Orbán’s press chief said on Wednesday.
