Kover, Estonia parlt speaker discuss bilateral ties
Budapest, October 6 (MTI) – Hungarian Parliamentary Speaker Laszlo Kover on Tuesday received his Estonian counterpart, Eiki Nestor, in parliament to discuss bilateral relations.
Hungarian-Estonian relations are important not only because of similarities in the two countries’ histories, but also because many of their interests coincide as European Union and NATO members, the speakers told a press conference after their meeting.
On the topic of mandatory migrant quotas, Kover said Hungary’s parliament and government “will use any legal methods necessary” to ensure that the resolution adopted by the EU’s interior and justice ministers is annulled.
Nestor said the world has changed greatly since Hungary and Estonia became NATO and EU members adding that the two countries’ parliaments must work together even more closely as a result.
