What are the factors that contribute to traffic collisions

A survey known as ‘National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Survey’, analyzed by National Highway Traffic Safety, states that more than 96% of traffic collisions are caused because of driver’s error or negligence, and most of them – if not all – can be prevented or made less disastrous.
In daily life, accidents happen every time. It means an unfortunate event happening unintentionally or by an unforeseen mistake. We drop our mobile phones accidentally or accidentally twist the ankle of our foot. However, when a vehicle collides with another vehicle or pedestrian, it is a preventable traffic collision and not just an accident.
For this reason, in most states motor vehicle collisions are not considered ‘accidents’ but collisions and negligence by the law enforcement and professionals of driver education centres.
That being said, it is why traffic collisions are referred to as motor vehicle collisions, where a vehicle collides, crashes or makes contact with another subject such as another vehicle, pedestrian, animal or stationary object. Intersections are considered as a high-risk area for collisions, and with good visibility and best of conditions, they can be prevented.
What Are The Major Factors That Contribute To Traffic Collisions?
Distraction
Undoubtedly, this one is considered to be a very common factor that contributes to dangerous traffic collisions where a driver is distractingly driving the vehicle. In most cases, the driver uses the cell phone or gets distracted by the music or entertainment. To prevent getting distracted, a driver must always park the vehicle to use a cell phone.
Impaired Driving
Impaired driving includes irresponsibility from the driver’s side. This is one of many reasons why 96% of motor vehicle collisions include the negligence of the driver. A person driving under the influence of any mind altering substance such as alcohol, sleeping pills, prescription drugs, cannabis, etc is considered as an impaired driver. This must be prevented at all costs as this can lead to very serious situations for both the sides of the collision. Also, many states give serious punishments and jail time for this. Visit,

Speeding
This one is yet another reason why most traffic collisions are considered to be the fault of the driver. Speeding is dangerous in all conditions. For every 10 miles per hour, if a driver exceeds the speed limit of 50 mph, the risk of serious injuries that can result in death increases. Most traffic collisions that occur because of speeding result in death of the driver or pedestrian. So why wouldn’t someone want to prevent indulging in such a harmful and dangerous condition?
Poor Driving Conditions
A person must always stay cautious of the driving conditions in their particular state or area. Driving at night time, in snow, during rain or fog can increase the chances of getting involved in harmful traffic collisions. Every weather condition that is not ideal for driving must be considered and the driver must not prefer to drive during those unlikely conditions.
