Hungarian speciality: electricity poles in the middle of the road
A dirt road has been paved in a town in Hungary. But there is a problem. In the middle of the road there are poles.
Rtl.hu reported that a dirt road in a street in MosonmagyarĂ³vĂ¡r has just been tarmacded. However, it was not perfect, because in the middle of the road, there were electric poles.
The inhabitants of the Hungarian town don’t seem to mind either. “Personally, I’m happy about it and everyone on the street is happy about it. Because the dust was already hard to bear, I, for example, left the living hedges to protect the front of the house from dust. It’s been a long time coming,” Ferenc JĂ³jĂ¡r told Rtl.hu.
According to the municipality, it would have been very expensive to move the electricity poles. However, the poles are not only aesthetically unpleasing, they also pose an accident hazard. The plan is to build small islands around the poles to prevent accidents.
