Cup Song Record at Children’s Summer Camp in Hungary
Summer camp participants set a Hungarian record , 294 people played the Cup Song at the same time, szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu reports.
The runners-up of the 2014 local X-factor, the band ByTheWay, who had previously played this song in the popular talent show of RTL Klub also joined to attempt to break the record. The record attempt was accomplished by the Funside Balaton international summer camp’s 7 to 17 year-old participants, as well as its camp counselors.
The song itself was played live by the students of the camp, with children playing the guitar, the bass, the drums and the piano and with a 13-year-old camper singing the vocals. The music camp’s band- Noemi Horvath (10 years old), Matyas Kiss (17), Marcell Schmalik (17), Sara Takacs (13) and Peter Varga(15)-was leaded by Tamas Moser, music teacher.
The song had been repeatedly practiced in the days before the record attempt. Over 600 glasses were used to set the Hungarian record for performing the Cup Song with 240 children, 50 teachers and the local band ByTheWay all taking part.
