Austria to open its 7th honorary consulate in Hungary
Pécs (MTI) – Austria is opening its seventh honorary consulate in Hungary, in the city of Pécs, in southern Hungary, on June 1. The consulate will cover duties in Baranya, Somogy and Tolna counties.
András Hochmann was named Pécs’s honorary consul on April 19, responsible for nurturing political, cultural, and economic ties as well as seeing to consular services in southern and western counties.
Elisabeth Ellison-Kramer, Austria’s ambassador to Hungary, said the Pécs consulate was significant in that many Austrian citizens and companies are to be found in the region.
