Hungarian city may win the European Best Destination 2023 title
Every year since 2009, Europe’s top 20 tourist destinations have been competing for the European Best Destination title voted by the public. In 2023, one Hungarian city, Veszprém, has a chance to win.
After Budapest and Hévíz, this time Veszprém is in the running for the European Best Destination title. Veszprém’s major cultural attractions, its rich historical heritage and the title of European Capital of Culture for 2023 all give the city a great advantage, according to turizmus.com.
This popularity could be further boosted by the European Best Destination 2023 award… The nomination allows the city to use the logo, which is a source of pride and honour in itself.
The public vote will take place between 20 January and 10 February 2023. Ljubljana won the award in 2022.
