EP Elections – Forty Percent Of Hungarians Interested In Sunday Ballot
Budapest, May 22 (MTI) – Forty percent of Hungarians are interested in the European parliamentary elections that will take place in Hungary on May 25, the latest survey Ipsos in Hungary released today said.
According to the survey the Ipsos group conducted in 12 countries, interest in the elections in Europe is moderate.
People in Poland, France and the Italy show a somewhat greater interest in the EP elections than people in Hungary, said Ipsos, indicating 48 percent, 47 percent and 46 percent for these three countries, respectively.
The least interested were people in the Netherlands (20 percent), it said.
Asked about Hungary’s 10-year membership in the EU, 55 percent of respondents said it had brought benefits for the country, while about 33 percent said the opposite, the survey said.
