Fuel prices to fall considerably from Wednesday in Hungary!
The government abolished last week the price cap on fuel for private car owners. That means everybody has to pay the market price for fuel in Hungary. However, that price is expected to decrease significantly from this Wednesday. Below you may read the details.
According to Autónavigátor, the world market reacted with a price decrease on the oil embargo. And that will have a considerable effect on Hungarian fuel prices.
As a result, gasoline prices will be HUF 20 (EUR 0.048) per litre from Wednesday. Meanwhile, that fall will be HUF 15Â (EUR 0.036) in the case of diesel in Hungary.
The Hungarian news website said the average price would be around HUF 620 (EUR 1.49) per litre in the case of gasoline 95, and we will have to pay HUF 685 (EUR 1.65) for diesel. Of course, the deviation is significant between the different fuel stations in Hungary. For example, Auchan fuel stations offer gasoline and diesel for a much lower price.
Based on ATV, the end of the price caps did not automatically solve the fuel shortage. There are still multiple petrol stations that do not have enough supply.
