Gas Transmissions To Hungary Uninterrupted, Says Ministry
(MTI) – The transmission of gas to Hungary is guaranteed via trade contracts and is under no threat of disruption, the National Development Ministry told MTI on Friday.
The ministry responded to MTI’s question regarding the security of gas supplies arriving to Hungary from Russia via Ukraine. Concern was raised over supplies after Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday sent a letter to European Union leaders in which he stated that from June 1 Russia would ship only as much gas to Ukraine as the country pays for in advance.
Commercial and security gas reserves are sufficient to supply Hungary with gas for several months, the ministry said.
