Lazar calls on Gyurcsany to “come clean” on Altus consortium
Budapest, June 18 (MTI) – The government office chief has called on Ferenc Gyurcsany, leader of the opposition Democratic Coalition, to come clean concerning the membership of the consortium in charge of a project which won a European Union contract through Gyurcsany’s company Altus.
Speaking at a regular government briefing on Thursday, Janos Lazar accused Gyurcsany of having misled the European Commission. At the same time, he called on the body to disclose all documents related to the contract.
Lazar also demanded that Gyurcsany give details of whether among the partners in the consortium there was anyone whom the EU’s anti-fraud office (OLAF) was investigating in connection with a previous bankruptcy which may have been mixed up with abuses.
