Coronavirus – Suzuki plant in Hungary to resume production
Suzuki will reopen its car plant in Esztergom, northern Hungary, on April 29, the company said on Wednesday.
As we wrote before, all automotive companies in Hungary suspended their production in March because of the coronavirus epidemic. Audi in Győr, Mercedes in Kecskemét, Suzuki in Esztergom and Opel in Szentgotthárd are some of the biggest employers in Hungary, and until now Audi and Opel decided that they continue the work. Details HERE.
The Suzuki plant was closed on March 23 as a measure to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic.
It will reopen with a single shift, and production has been reorganised to enable social distancing, the company said.
