We reported before about the wonder bridge being under construction near Tiszaug. Now the bridge successfully passed its load testing, so Magyar Építők shares some astonishing photos of it on their Facebook page.
According to their post, they will share some further images about how the load testing was done. We reported before that the construction work of the Tisza Bridge in Tiszaug, situated in the Sothern Great Plain region, was going right according to plans. The uniquely structured bridge has been under construction since January 2019.
The one in a million structure “forms a deformed ellipse, so the appearance of the 556-metre-long bridge is reminiscent of one of the symbols of the Hungarian Great Plain, the “covered wagon. The final height of the bridge pylons is over 50 metres. The contractor used a total of about 70 tonnes of formwork material for concreting the arched pylons” – we wrote then.
