PM Orbán keynote speech: the USA does not accept China’s victory and may go to war
PM Viktor Orbán regularly gives his annual keynote speech outside Hungary, in Transylvania, in the heart of Szeklerland, at Tusnádfürdő (Băile Tușnad). This year, he talked about a possible world cataclysm because of a China-USA clash, how Budapest needs to fight against Brussels and the European Union and when the Hungarian economy will begin to grow again.
According to media reports, the Hungarian prime minister started with the global clash between the USA and China. He said China was in deep slumber for hundreds of years, but Beijing woke up and managed to develop as much in 30 years as other countries in 200 years. Therefore, they claim their “place under the sun”. However, Washington does not accept that quick development, the fact that China preceded them in many sectors.
As a result, a clash between the two world powers is inevitable. Washington could defeat their challengers before the Soviet Union and the European Union. However, this time everybody should work to avoid a global war between the two great powers. The bad news is that out of the 16 similar conflicts, 12 finished with war, and only four could be solved peacefully. War is not inevitable, but the USA does not accept that it has become the world’s second most powerful nation, Orbán added.

According to the Hungarian prime minister, the European Union is wealthy but weak. To make matters worse, they left their Russian energy suppliers. As a result, war inflation came, and energy costs skyrocketed, damaging the competitiveness of the EU, index.hu wrote.
He talked about the Hungarian constitution calling it the constitution of national binding. About the EU, he said that Hungary must fight even though we like Europe. That is because the EU is no longer Christian, Democratic. It is rather an empire instead of an alliance. Furthermore, it follows the LGBTQ ideology. Western values now mean only war, LGBTQ and migration, he highlighted.

Orbán said he wanted the Hungarian GDP to reach HUF 160,000 billion (EUR 421 billion) by 2030, would like to help Hungarian families more, raise reproductivity and develop Hungary’s higher education. He added that by July 2024, economic growth will be high in Hungary, and inflation will be low again.
Romanian nationalists tried to disturb the Hungarian prime minister’s speech today, but they could not get through the police.

Orban is obsessed with promoting the idea that the US is in decline relative to China. There is some form of latent anti-Americanism for sure in his rhetoric. Orban is completely oblivious to the fact that the American-Western model of democratic market-based society is the most successful model in world history and will never be surpassed until a superior model of governance is developed. The day you hear about people clamouring to immigrate to China is the day you know that they have surpassed the US. Where do people want to immigrate to? What country has attracted the best technical talent for over a century? It’s not China. China has spent a generation acquiring technical expertise through industrial espionage rather than through its’ own talent. Importantly, the growth rate China has achieved is plateauing for the simple reason that it matured in the first basic level of growth which is through manufacturing industrialization. US growth is now knowledge based. China manufactures what companies in the US design. It is the country of factory labourers. Dictatorships cause distortions to their market economies that hobble them and they will never attract the technical talent to excel in a world where scientific development is ramping up exponentially. Orban is a very ignorant and deceptive man.
Orban made disastrous comments in Transylvania. From Bloomberg: “We never claimed these were Romanian territorial units,” Orban said of Transylvania at the start of what is his signature address each year.
The Romanian government is preparing a response to the comments, a spokesman said when contacted by Bloomberg News.
Those words from Orban for sure have irreparably damaged Hungarian-Romanian relations for as long as Orban remains the leader of Hungary. The man is single handedly trying to destroy European cohesion. He is a menace to Europe.
First, in the great scheme of things nobody cares what Orban and Hungary thinks. Second, Hungary has managed to piss of the EU, the US, NATO and even the V4 countries. When it is all over the only “friends” Hungary will have, are Russia, China, Iran Belarus, North Korea and many6 insignificant countries in Africa. Do the people of Hungary really want that? Orban needs to shut up and stop further diplomatic damage to Hungary.
He is right on China developing fast, he might be right that USA might not like to be on second place, all the rest are scary populist topics which brings hate within who has no rational thinking, and hate brings War.

It looks as if Hungary has not learned anything from the past history. Hungary continually picked losers as allies, with the result of turn coats Romanians in WW2 gained 1000 years old Hungarian Transylvania as their own.
Sadly, it looks like picking China, far away in Asia, as a winner over and above the USA and including Russia is once again not very smart for the future well-being of Hungary.
Orbán should learn from WW2 and take note what happened to the Japanese planned empire expansion.
China today have the same sort of ambition what the Japanese had, but for China to win as Orbán predicts, China will not only have USA as fore, but all the USA allies. USA allies are long listed like NATO (which includes Hungary) Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, and the Philippines. It may even include Russia, as they will not want to lose Siberia to China.
Consequently, Orbán’s analysis of future world conflict is misguided, as China, to start with, would have to gain allies around the globe to seriously weaken USA.
Hungarians -are we intellectually deficient, in millions, that after 14 years, this individual Victor Orban has been the Prime Minister of our Country, that what we, as a country are facing to-day, right in our FACES – living our daily lives in, our families, our children, the DESTRUCTION of our Country, the DESTRUCTION of Relationships with “other” country’s, the DESTRUCTION of Democracy – the DESTRUCTION lowering of the quality of our lives in growing millions of Hungarians – that is ALL through – the idiotic Political ideas & philosophy of one Victor Orban.
Hungarians we certainly are NOT intellectually DEFICIENT.
Hungarians – we are MASSIVELY floundering, coming to grips with – seeing and ACCEPTING – taking positions and orderly ACTIONS – that PROJECT Display – that the DIRECTION that Victor Orban has taken us as a country, over 14 years of his “Dictatorial” style of Governance – that it is growing into a HUMONGOUS mess – a DESTRUCTIVE mess – for immediate times in Hungary and our FUTURE.

does. The US is less than 5 % of the world POP and puts it in weak position especially with so many stupid people running it- it’s competing with the brilliance of the EU. Tell that to the UK and French people. The US is on its way taking in the pop of Hungary in less than 4 years.

If Hungary and Prime Minister Orban are so insignificant, why are people so upset? Mr. Orban’s policy, Hungary is for Hungarians and the government should serve the interest of Hungarians. That makes a lot of sense. Hungary’s best interest is not to side with the EU, Russia or China but to trade with all nations and politically, institute radical neutrality.
