Police seize almost 1 kg cocaine smuggled from Brazil
Police have arrested suspected members of a criminal gang after seizing almost 1kg of cocaine with a street value estimated around 40 million forints (EUR 130,000) that originated from Brazil.
A statement by the national police headquarters said a 38-year-old male Budapest resident was under investigation along with two female accomplices.
It is suspected that the drug was taken from Sao Paulo on a flight to Brussels and then by car to Hungary.
