The secrets of the most successful logos

Have you ever wondered how often in your life you met a Coca-Cola or Samsung logo and paid attention to it? The secret to the success of some of the world’s most famous brands lies in a well-thought-out branding strategy. The latter implies placing the logo and corporate identity elements on advertising and souvenir products, as well as on stationery, vehicles, outdoor advertising, and interior, and exterior details.
Any carrier of branded information becomes a powerful advertising tool, able to capture the attention of a potential client and in the long term – push to purchase.
So how do you create the perfect logo for your business? And is it realistic to compete with the hundreds of already-fashioned logos?
Company logos are more than an image. They are not always the work of high-paid designers. Sometimes a funny situation can turn a little drawing into a recognizable brand. For example, if you look at the history and meaning of the YouTube Logo, one of the most recognizable logos in the world today, you will see that it was created by one of the founders of the company and has not changed much in the history of the portal.
Or the Apple logo. There are quite a few versions of its meaning, Apple. However, the reality is very simple. In fact, designer Rob Janoff drew the apple with a bite to make the fruit recognizable. Otherwise, it could have been mistaken for some other round-shaped fruit.
The perception of an emblem is subjective, but there are certain components in the formula for their creation that are used to attract the attention of customers. Market-conquering trademarks make an indelible impression on consumers and leave a mark in their memory.
The key to a successful logo is its simplicity. Yes, yes, minimalistic emblems are remembered by consumers much faster and evoke more associations.
A trademark should tell customers about the brand, and its design should be consistent with the company’s goals. And this means that any laconic design should also include a note of uniqueness, distinguishing your brand from thousands of others.
A logo should be created with the interests of the potential range of customers in mind. World famous logos have individual features. Their emblems are characterized by either text design, or a graphical symbol, based on a picture or combined (both text and picture).
In fact, the success of a company as a whole does not depend on the quality and thoughtfulness of its design. It is unlikely that companies like Apple and Coca-Cola would be less successful with different logos. After all, nobody needs a logo by itself. What matters is how and where you use it. So when creating an emblem for your brand, also think about how it will look in different sizes – on business cards, posters, and billboards.
