Timothée Chalamet has arrived in Budapest!
Timothée Chalamet is in Hungary with the rest of the cast and crew of Dune because they will be filming the next part here. If you’re lucky or very persistent you might run into some of them in Budapest!
“Timothée Chalamet and Dad. The love of Matzah dumplings, blue caps and the spice of Dune are what binds them together.” This is the caption on the Facebook page of the Rosenstein Restaurant in the 8th district of Budapest, where a photo of the owner, Tibor Rosenstein and the actor of Dune was posted.
The first part, which was released in 2021, was also filmed in Hungary. The plot of Dune stopped about halfway through the book, and for a long time there was a question as to whether director Denis Villeneuve could make a sequel, but he was finally given the green light by the studio, Telex.hu writes. Warner Bros. pushed the release date for the sequel from October 20, 2023 to November 17, 2023.
Last year, the first part of Dune was a critical and audience success. The film was nominated for ten Oscars, winning six of them. There were also Hungarian entries in the Oscar nominations: Zsuzsanna Sipos won in the Best Production Design category with her colleague Patrice Vermette.
