Trains and buses in Hungary now easier to track real-time!

Ever wanted to track trains and buses in Hungary in real-time? Thanks to a new development, from the end of April, BudapestGO users will be able to track in real-time, along the entire route, where the MÁV train or Volánbus service they want to travel on is going to in Budapest.

According to the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK), following the introduction of the tariff community on 1 March, the route and current status of all MÁV trains in Budapest will be displayed in the application for the entire route, turizmus.com writes.

As an example, it is possible to plan the journey from Szeged or Debrecen railway station to any Budapest or agglomeration location in real-time, and the return journey as well.

This means that if a train or bus does not arrive at the scheduled time, BudapestGO will immediately take this into account and suggest the most convenient itinerary for users, BKK said.

According to the announcement, since January last year, the regional buses of Volánbus with the numbers 300 to 899 can be tracked in BudapestGO. Now, 29 more long-distance routes are added with real-time information.
