Best 3 type of grills

1.     Gas grill

Features

  • Fuel source; natural or liquid propane gas
  • Multiple burners
  • Stainless steel burners tubes
  • Electronic ignition
  • Coated cast iron grates

Advertence

Liquid propane and natural gas grills are the source of fuel for gas grills. The main difference between liquid propane and natural gas is that propane is compressible into liquid form and sold in portable canisters for portable gas grills. Natural gas is left in gaseous form and supplied directly to households. One of the significant advantages of using a gas grill is that it is so easy to use. You can quickly light up a gas grill by a push of a button. And with its knobs, you can regulate the temperature quickly. Within minutes, a gas grill will get to your desired grilling temperature because gas burns at a high temperature. Most importantly, gas burns with a nice clean flame.

A lot of gas grills come with multiple burners, making it possible to create two heating zones conveniently. You can roast vegetables on one side, and grill a brisket or burger on the other side at the same time without any burning. Flame tamers are also common in gas grills as it creates some.sort of barrier between the burners and the cooking grate. In simple terms, flame tamers reduce flare-ups while cooking and also protect the Burners from drippings as evaporating the drippings into smoke, thereby enhancing the flavor of your food. In some gas grills, there are infrared burners that can evenly distribute the heat across the cooking surface.

Clean

Gas grills are one of the easiest of all the Grills to clean. Because gas burns with a clean flame, problems of soot or ashes wouldn’t be a problem. However, that unique smoke flavor would be absent from your food. Furthermore, most gas grills have porcelain-enameled coated grates, which are nonstick, making it possible to easily clean. And the same applies to the cook box walls, which are either porcelain enameled coated or stainless steel.

2.    Portable grills

Features

  • Fuel source; liquid propane or charcoal
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to transport
  • Detachable or removable legs
  • Carrying handles

Advertence

Portable grills, from the name, you can pretty much tell so much about what it entails. Portable grills range from tabletop grills to pontoon grills and even the best portable RV grills. The idea of a portable grill is to have a small Grill that you can easily use. A bbq portable rv grill is a perfect grill you can easily take along with you to a camp, tailgate, or picnic. Portable grills are also available in charcoal and propane fuel sources. And for the grillers convenience, most portable grills have a kind of simplified design that makes it easy to transport. For instance, most portable grills come with detachable legs, making the Grill compact enough to transport. Portable grills also come with carrying handles that make it convenient for grillers to use to move the Grill around.

Furthermore, portable grills are also very lightweight. We can associate the lightweight nature of portable grills to the quality of material used in constructing it. Coated stainless steel and aluminum are common materials used in making portable grills. And in some cases, instead of the cast iron grill, some manufacturers also apply The use of lightweight steel, to further reduce the overall weight of the Grill. The only downside of using a portable grill is that you’d hardly get enough grilling space because of its relatively small size. But if a compact grill is perfect for you, and you need a Grill for a picnic of two, or just a get-together with your kids, then a portable grill would be excellent for you.

Clean

Portable grills are also easy to clean, but it depends on the type of portable Grill you own. Gas or portable electric grills are easy to clean and maintain. On the other hand, portable charcoal grills are quite tough to keep clean because of the ashes it produces. Moreover, because of the simplistic design of a portable grill, there are very few hard to get to corners, meaning you’d have access to most parts of a portable grill when cleaning.

3.    Charcoal grills

Features

  • Fuel source; charcoal or wood chunks
  • Ashtray
  • Dampers and air vent
  • Porcelain-enameled coated cook box and grates

Advertence

Charcoal grills are more like the most commonly used Grill, unlike the other two Grills we talked about above. Because charcoal grills use real charcoal or wood chunks, it produces that unique smoke flavor in your food. Although charcoal grills produce the best taste in food, they are among the most challenging Grills to use and maintain.

The first challenge you’re most likely to encounter while using a charcoal grill is lighting up the charcoal or wood chunks. To make the process of lighting a charcoal grill easier, you can use lighter fluid. Apart from the challenge of lighting a charcoal grill, another common problem associated with charcoal grill is regulating the temperature. Unlike gas grills where you can easily adjust the temperature by simple turning knobs, on a charcoal grill, the process is long and more manual. Charcoal grills have dampers and air vent, which by closing or opening it, you either let in more oxygen in or less oxygen into the Grill.

And as you already know, fire needs oxygen to burn. To increase the temperature inside a charcoal grill, you need to open the vents and dampers to let in more oxygen. Theoretically, that procedure seems quite straightforward, but practically, it’s not as easy as it appears to regulate the temperature to an exact figure. Nevertheless, in all, using a charcoal grill is worth every ounce of effort put into cooking your food, as the difference is in the taste.

Clean

Although charcoal grills come with ashtrays to collect the ashes while grilling to make cleaning a lot easier, using a charcoal grill is still quite messy. Nevertheless, if you own a charcoal grill, all you have to do is ensure you clean it up after every use; that way, you’d increase the Grill’s longevity.

Conclusion

In conclusion, either of the three types of grills reviewed in this article is excellent and suitable for an excellent backyard grilling time. So, if you’re contemplating getting any of these three, you need to weigh the pros and cons and know which one works best. Though many people would advise you to go for a gas grill because it’s easy to use and maintain, you should also understand you wouldn’t get that unique smoke flavor with a gas grill. On the other hand, portable grills are great, easy to move around, but don’t offer enough space. While charcoal grills offer the best taste, they are the toughest to use. In summary, always remember to go for what works best for you. If you’ve ever had an experience with any of these grills, please leave a comment in the comment section sharing your experience with any of them.
