Green Social Budapest, 21 September
September means back to school, back to work, wine festivals and, most importantly, the relaunching of Green Social Budapest! So come join us on 21 September 2015 (Doblo Bar, Dob Utca 20. Budapest 1072) at 19:30. The topic is reducing food waste. But before saying a few more words about that, here’s a short reminder of what Green Socials are all about.
Green Social is a casual event organized nearly every month by GREENWILL to bring together those interested in environmental sustainability. Green Social events are attended by a broad scope of people, from students and eco-activists to business owners. Every edition features a new topic which is explored and discussed in the form of short presentations by experts, alongside casual drinks and networking. (But no food wasting!) This Green Social is particularly special because it is being co-organized by GREENWILL and Climate-KIC.
Now, as for the topic, did you know that between 30-40% of all food is thrown away? And that if food waste were a country, it would be the third highest CO2 emitter? Not good, huh? Let’s keep it realistic though: unfortunately nobody will ever manage to eliminate food waste entirely. But if you’re interested in potential ways to reduce food waste – or if you just want to hang out with a cool crowd of environmentalists, join and raise a glass with us.
