First Hungarian astronaut Farkas marked his second birthday with a public lecture 

 

 

In an informal and friendly atmosphere, Mr. Farkas spoke about his young years and how he ended up being a space-conqueror, despite his dream to become a football star. After the screening of the documentary, he addressed numerous questions from the audience, mostly students, and demonstrated souvenirs from his space journey that he has kept for many years – a glove, a packaged soup, piece of bread, etc. The lecture was in Russian – the language that Mr. Farkas speaks fluently.  He is also know to be the first Esperantist in outer space.
