Every Hungarian festival to be held on the same weekend?
The coronavirus pandemic made it impossible for some festivals to be held at their regular time. Some were postponed, while others were cancelled.
The only problem with rescheduling is that the festivals that were postponed will now take place over the same weekend, the last weekend of August, reported Index.
So far:
-
EFOTT will take place between August 26-30,
-
Fishing on Orfű between August 26-29,
-
Szegedi Ifjúsági Napok (Szeged Youth Days) between August 26-29,
-
Veszprémi Utcazene Fesztivál (Veszprém Street Music Festival) between 26-29,
-
and now Kolorádó Festival has also been rescheduled to August 26-29.
Kolorádó Festival was previously going to be held in the middle of August, from the 12th until the 15th. They, however, had to set a new-new date because the government does not allow huge events to be held until August 15.
Here are all the major festivals that were cancelled due to the pandemic.
The organisers of the festival have confirmed that foreign guests have all said okay to the new date. Those who cannot attend the festival on the new date can use their tickets at the 2021 event; they have to notify staff at ticket@kolorado.hu until July 6 if they wish to do so.
Theatres and cinemas can reopen in the second half of June. However, as of yet, there has been no news about whether concerts can be held.
