Foreign minster calls on justice commissioner to ‘stop insulting Hungarians and Poles’
Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has called on European justice commissioner Didier Reynders to “stop insulting Hungarians and Poles”.
Szijjártó noted on Facebook on Saturday that Reynders said in an interview concerning the EU budget that Hungary and Poland should be bypassed if they cannot be convinced to vote for it.
“My friend Didier, without wishing to offend your country, let me please note to you the fact that we Poles and Hungarians have fought for our freedom against dictatorships and have done as much for European unity as the country that has delegated you to the European Commission,” he wrote.
