Truck carrying 68 migrants stopped at Hungary-Romania border
Hungarian and Romanian police have stopped a truck driver who tried to smuggle 68 migrants into Hungary at the border crossing of Csanádpalota, the Csongrád-Csanád county police said on Thursday.
The Turkish truck approached the border from the Romanian side on Wednesday night, the police said.
Romanian authorities have charged the driver with people smuggling and the migrants with illegal border crossing, the police said.
