One of the smallest villages of the country can be rented with main street, barn and cows. Moreover, you can be deputy mayor, origo.hu says.
“Village for rent, rental fee is HUF 210 thousand” – Dollars” – a surprising ad appeared in one of the classified advertising portals on Monday evening. “Rent an entire village for a weekend! You can live in a fully renovated and furnished county house in Megyer, 10 km south of Sumeg, but the culture house and the barn also can be yours” – already sounds tempting.
But the fun comes only then. The ad continues: “Those who want to have a say in public affairs can be a deputy mayor for two days, so you can freely change the name of streets and places. Come to village and live happily! The rental for the entire village (excluding residential and business properties) is HUF 210.000 per night”.
The price includes:
- 2 roads (paved)
- 2 streets (scattered)
- 1 bus stop
- 1 office
- 7 houses (cottage)
- 2 houses (event)
- 1-foot-barn
- 3 buildings (other)
- 1 poultry
- 6 horses
- 2 cows
- 3 sheeps
- 4 ha arable
Origo.hu reached the mayor of the village with 26 inhabitants in Veszprem County, who confirmed the ad is not a joke, the village can be rented. Kristof Laszlo Pajer said they wanted to spread the word for the guest houses managed by the local social cooperatives under the guidance of the local government.
Most of the houses of the village can be rented as guest houses for many years, but according to the mayor being in his 3rdcycle, they want to receive larger companies. It is expected that businesses will choose the village as the place of team buildings.
