Breakthrough – Hungary also has the anti-coronavirus drug
The Hungary-based pharmaceutical company, Richter, has stated that the manufacturing of the new formula that is extremely effective against the coronavirus disease has started, following the successful synthesis of the agent. After five months of hard work, the company has finally solved how to speed up the recovery process for patients in a severe condition with a special chemical formula.
Index reported that the antiviral medication remdesivir is currently the most effective one among all medications against the coronavirus. Even the president of the USA, Donald Trump, received this treatment after he was diagnosed with the coronavirus. This is the first clinically tested formula that helps to quicken the healing of patients and to decrease the number of fatal incidents.
In September, the final checks and tests were completed, and now 260 medical institutions received the formula in the form of injections.
Richter has received the order from the Hungarian government in March to start the research. The medication will not be available at pharmacies as it will only be distributed to hospitals. Therefore, Richter does not get any income. Currently, there are five ongoing projects within the company, all of them aiming to find solutions that cure the coronavirus. These include testing already used medication and examining other scientific researches and results from other countries, like Japan and the USA.
Richter could not report anything about a possible vaccine, as producing vaccines does not belong to the company’s profile.

Remdesivir DOES NOT “cure patients in a severe condition”. It speeds up the recovery of approximately one third of the severe Covid patients, reducing their hospital stay by a few days. This article is misleading and the word ‘cure’ should be removed.
