EU green-lights Hungary judicial package
Based on a notification by the European Justice Commissioner, Hungary’s government has initiated the submission of a judicial package agreed with the European Commission to parliament, Justice Minister Judit Varga said on Thursday.
“We have delivered on our commitments. Even in the face of the biggest local and international headwinds,” Varga said in a bilingual Facebook post.
“We will continue to work to ensure that the Hungarian people get the resources they deserve as soon as possible,” she said.
“We have the green light from Brussels! Following yesterday’s information from the Justice Commissioner, the Government has taken the initiative to submit the justice package agreed with the European Commission to Parliament”, Hungarian Justice Minister Judit Varga wrote on Facebook.
