Gyurcsány: Fidesz voters should be ashamed of themselves
“Serving this regime is more than a sin: it is shameful, and Fidesz voters should be ashamed of themselves,” Ferenc Gyurcsány, the leader of the opposition Democratic Coalition (DK), told the party congress on Sunday.
The opposition should work to weaken the government by all available legal means, he said. The current government is “against the homeland, unlawful, immoral, dishonest and criminal”, Gyurcsány said. “We are not the opposition but opponents of this party,” he said.
He said Russian President Vladimir Putin was “a war criminal, without question”, since the murder of hundreds of civilians in Bucha, Ukraine, in early 2022. “Hungary is cooperating with a war criminal, and what’s more, it does so without reaping any advantages,” he said.
Prime Minister “Viktor Orbán has lost his independence … and isn’t a sovereign person but a serf to Russian power,” he said. The country has to oppose such a leader, he added.
One of the most important issues in Hungary is education and schools, Gyurcsány said. The sector needs funds, but also a reform that focuses on “children’s soul, thoughts, personality, curiosity and thirst for knowledge”, he said.
Gyurcsány said of the Roma community in Hungary that “they are right to feel they have been abandoned by everyone”. An 800,000-strong minority “have been cast aside because they are Roma”, and are facing “terrible” poverty, isolation and discrimination, he said.
“I would like to lead a community and be the citizen of a country that grasps that it cannot turn away from hundreds of thousands of Hungarians in despair, and cannot live in peace and honesty without acknowledging the troubles of our Roma brethren,” he said.
The congress has asked the party’s shadow government, led by MEP Klara Dobrev, to develop and present the “programme of tomorrow’s Hungary” by autumn this year, Gyurcsány said. DK is offering a home to all opponents of the Orbán government, he said.
Commenting on the speech, Fidesz communications director István Hollik said Gyurcsány had clearly “brought the entire dollar left to its knees”. Leftist parties continue to act against the interests of Hungarians, he said in a video in Facebook. Hungary has but one left wing, and that is led by Gyurcsány, he said. The speech has also shown that the party has no intention to change its policies. “They will continue to push their pro-war, pro-sanctions policies, as their foreign financers expect them to do,” he said.

The Russians requested an investigation by United Nations into the events in Bucha in April 2022. The British used their veto to prevent this investigation.

I do not know what happened but if the Russians had been responsible the British would not have used the veto!
I’m not ashamed of voting Fidesz, because Fidesz’s mission is to put Hungary and and the Hungarian people FIRST. I WOULD be ashamed of voting for globalist puppets though, who get their marching orders from Klaus, Gyorgyi, etc. No, thanks, Ferenc!
Michael Steiners comment, and I reply respectfully, misses a point that, as we proceed deeper into a cataclysmic disaster in Hungary, the Dominant question I keep asking my-self, is the “Going it” alone path, not a member of the European Union, divorced and separated from other major country’s that are Governed under Democracy, but growing, moving deeper in alignment with Russia & China – under Communistic Governments, we in Hungary – how are we going to SURVIVE?
Hungary – we are DEBT riddled as I write – growing.
The point Michael Steiner uses as his principal point of opinion, that Victor Orban “leads” us, that is totally FOCUSED on us Hungary, the ageing, diminishing number of our population presently 9.5 million, not forgetting that in the last decade the increasing trend in Hungary is that deaths of DNA Hungarians outnumber new “little ones” being born, whilst in WORD from Victor Orban may be his, his Governments “spiel” – opinion by many, its propaganda, this is WHAT tests me.
My opinion is, that what the eyes and mouth of Victor Orban speak, its what is going on in his head – that is the GRAVE concern for Hungary at this present time and into whatever its Future may be.
Is it better to go alone or live under brutal EU/globalists’ dictatorship? How can anyone accept comments made by Gyurcsany? He is the person that bankrupted the country with his socialist policies. It was not enough for Gyurcsany to ruin Hungary’s economy and cheaply sell all of the country’s industries and pocket the money, now he wants to give the country away to socialists. Gyurcsany and his wife must really hate the country and her people.

Come the next general elections, Orbán’s publicity machinery will have a field day with this (“Fidesz voters….” issue).
