Horrific PHOTOS, VIDEO from East Hungary: smoke covered everything, people in panic
Firstly, news came about a huge explosion in Alsózsolca’s industrial park, a small village close to Miskolc. Later, photos arrived, showing an incredible amount of smoke terrifying everybody.
According to boon.hu, the local disaster management office head, Dávid Dojcsák, said they were alerted due to fire and smoke. Locals talked about an explosion in the industrial park of Alsózsolca. One eye-witness said firefighters arrived 15 minutes after the fire alarm sounded in the industrial park. They immediately baulked the spread of the flames.
Thick black smoke covered the neighbourhood, but it gradually decreased after the firefighters began their work.
People said that aluminium powder caught fire, but the CEO of Granulines Invest Ltd, Gábor Német, later cleared it was “only” so-called plastic bigbags. The source of the fire was an electrical short circuit. He added they did not work with flammable materials. He highlighted that nobody was injured.
You may check out some additional photos in Boon’s article. Unfortunately, we do not have permission to use them.
We wrote HERE that the Slovenian Andrada planned to build their newest battery recycling plant in Alsózsolca. Locals are afraid of the new plant even though the government said it would create 200 new workplaces and bring a EUR 26.2 million investment to the settlement.
