How strong is the Hungarian passport globally?
The type of passport one holds significantly affects travel opportunities, particularly the ability to visit countries without needing a visa. The strength of a passport, determined by the number of visa-free travel destinations it grants, frequently changes. The Henley Passport Index publishes its rankings four times a year, and the July 2024 edition has brought several updates compared to January. Check out below how strong the Hungarian passport is!

Seeing Canada and Hungary having the same number of visa free destinations I had a look at some interesting differences. Hungarians have visa free travel to allied dictatorships Belarus and China while Canadians proudly can say they do not. Those visa free destinations exist to Hungary’s shame.
Let’s get real. visa free access to China is and will be a great benefit. China is emerging as a global superpower and nexus of world trade, being able to travel there without cumbersome and expensive visas will benefit Hungary in the long run. Irrespective of the politics of a country, you can either travel there without a visa or you need to get one. The former is far preferable.

Dear, Larry,
Your comment is possibly the lamest I’ve ever read in response to an online article. Like, truly… congratulations!
Also, Canada has the same visa-free travel to Belarus as Hungary does in addition to visa-free access to Justin Castro’s Cuba…so…GRATE SHAAMME!
P.S. “visa-free (blank) is almost always hyphenated. Making such grammatical errors exist to Larry’s shame.
