Budapest, February 20 (MTI) – The government mixes up terrorism with immigration “without any inhibition”, Andras Schiffer, co-leader of the opposition LMP, said on Friday.
Addressing the parliamentary debate on economic migration, he said that the figures cited by the government had been available before the attack against Charlie Hebdo but no one had spoken of them.
Schiffer noted that the immigrants who had settled in Hungary over the past 15-20 years showed a lower rate of employment and paid more tax and social security contributions than the national average.
Schiffer said that as long as the European Union has no response to global imbalance, the refugee problem will reproduce itself.
