MEP Gyöngyösi: The EU must sanction Viktor Orbán!

The year of 2022 will be marked in the annals of history as a major turning point when Europe, after “eight decades of peace”, is at war once again. Although armed conflicts still took place in our continent after World War II, we have never waged such a fierce, life-or-death struggle since 1945.

By attacking Ukraine, Russia also attacked the values that had formed the foundations for Europe to rise from the post-war ruins and become one of the world’s most developed regions over the past decades. It is obvious that if we can’t stop Moscow, Europe will no longer be able to exist in its current form.

That’s why we can welcome the European Union rising above its often cumbersome decision-making process and taking immediate action by imposing strict sanctions on the aggressor, thus clearly putting it in a difficult position.

We also welcome how, at a time when the European Parliament was shaken by a corruption scandal, the perpetrators were immediately apprehended by the authorities while our institutions began seriously looking into how such cases could be prevented in the future.

No matter how firm a stance we take against the aggressor and the paid agents working in EU institutions however, if the enemy is allowed to freely operate in the “intermediate zone”. I am talking about the politicians who completely openly undermine our community’s unity in these hard times and spread the Kremlin’s propaganda.

Viktor Orbán does all this from the Prime Minister’s seat. At first, he only caused problems for his country’s citizens by taking away their freedom and running an authoritarian regime. By now however, he has stepped into the European political arena with his repeated vetoes. He keeps sabotaging Europe with his favours for Putin, while his lackeys spread the wildest Russian propaganda.

Make no mistake, this man is Europe’s enemy and Russia’s agent who should be dealt with as such.

I am surprised that Orbán and his ministers are still allowed to sit at the table where the decisions are made, even though they obviously serve foreign interests. If it were going on in a non-EU country, the Orbán regime’s top politicians, their families and business partners would likely have been under heavy EU sanctions by now.

Is it right that EU citizenship gives you a free pass to trample on the EU’s core values? I don’t think so. It’s time for the European Union to impose the exact same type of sanctions on Viktor Orbán and his circle as were applied to the operators and beneficiaries of Putin’s regime. Freeze their assets, ban financial transactions with them, criminalize business contacts with them and impose travel bans on them! That’s the European way to deal with our enemies.

Don’t need to be a Rhodes Scholar, the FACTUALITY of the contents continued and explanations given in this article – that center on and around – the name Victor Orban.
Orban – thankfully we are seeing him being isolated deeper, from within the European Union, Great Britain & Ireland, the United States of America, the Global World.
The destruction inside the European Union and in Hungary – he has caused, we are continuously witnessing correctness of mounting retaliative measures actions enforced upon Victor Orban, through his dictatorial un-favourable demeanour.
Hungary – driven – “shaped & moulded” – taken to the brink of Economic & Financial collapse – the lose of friendships with country’s we have for distance in time enjoyed, the nadir of the WORSENING situation in Hungary is cataclysmic.
Hungary – our FUTURE in the European Union it can’t be EXPECTED that it will function in an orderly process.
Victor Orban – has DESTROYED that possibility under his own name that includes the DAMAGE that has been inflicted upon the name Hungary – millions of Hungarians – our Quality of Life and Future.
Rightfully if this name – Victor Orban appears on behalf of “needs & wants” or whatever for Hungary – massive trepidation reluctance will be exhibited displayed coming out of the European Union.
Orban has isolated himself but in doing that he has DRAGGED us Hungary down or into this downward trending black hole as a country we are in, and it WILL worsen
Hungarians to reverse the trend we are in at present, is HUMONGOUS – that sees us having a bright & prosperous FUTURE.

MEP Gyongyosi is a traitor. How dare he work against the interest of the Hungarian people. Why does Gongyosi wants Hungarian people to suffer lack of heat? People like Gyongyosi should be recalled and replaced by someone that represents the interest of the people he/she represents.

Hungary has made the right decision by staying out of the Ukrainian/Russian melee. Why should anyone support a country that oppresses the and starves the Hungarian ethnic community? Gyongyosi (if he can think logically) should realize that the Hungarian government’s only duty is to serve Hungarian people rather than the war mongers of the US and EU.
