Migrants end hunger strike at Serbia-Hungary border
Budapest, July 29 (MTI) – Migrants protesting at the Serbia-Hungary border near Horgos against Hungary’s refusal to grant them passage through the country have ended their six-day hunger strike, a public media correspondent reported from the site on Friday.
Last Sunday, 130 of the 300-400 migrants who had set off from Belgrade to Serbia’s northern border late last week arrived at the Horgos-Roszke border zone demanding passage through Hungary to western Europe. The migrants, mainly from Afghanistan and Pakistan, began a hunger strike in protest of Hungary’s tightened border rules. Many of them ended up abandoning the protest and left for the nearby transit zone but some migrants later rejoined the hunger strike.
Around 50 migrants continued the hunger strike into Friday, many of them suffering from exhaustion.

Exhaustion is caused mainly by over work or dehydration. So, seeing these lazy upstarts don’t work or exercise, they must be suffering from dehydration. From the pictures that have been published, I doudt the dehydration. They are, even on a so called hunger strike, have been drinking plenty of water. Everyone knows that the human body can go for days, in some cases weeks without food but drinking water, so why are these so called migrants suffering from exhaustion? It is a show they are putting on, a drama to make them look sorrowfull. Hungary doesn’t want them, and they know this. For gods sake, take no notice of them. These young men should be back in their own countries fighting for their own cause, not bringing distress and hworry to those who do not want them.
Hahaha, buncha losers, 3 days, that’s all they could take?! Last time I was on a fast I did not eat for 12 days.
Hungary has every right not to allow passage for these migrants.
Whether they transit the country or claim refugee status.
