Minister: Hungary will protect EU external borders!

In terms of migration, solidarity among European Union member states means for Hungary also the need to protect the bloc’s external borders, Judit Varga, the justice minister, said after a meeting of the General Affairs Council in Brussels on Tuesday.

The protection of the EU Schengen area is a task that means protecting the external borders, she told Hungarian journalists. She noted Hungary’s contribution in performing the task by building a border fence and reiterated the government’s call for the EU to contribute financing.
