Great news! – Budapest Park will reopen with concerts soon
Hungary has finally reached 5 million vaccinated people which in turn meant the greatest reopening since last Summer. Let us hope that the vaccination will provide enough protection against the variants of the virus so that we can return to the normal way of life before the pandemic.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced that mask wearing on the streets and in public spaces is no longer obligatory. Also, several other restrictions are also lifted:
- The curfew is over, you can be on the streets anytime
- Opening hours of stores and restaurants are no longer restricted
- Ban on outdoor individual and team sports is lifted
- Up to 50 people can attend private and family events
- Up to 200 people can attend weddings
Also, organisers of cultural events such as dance and music events for example can finally arrange events with over 500 people attending, given that every participant has an immunity certificate. If an event is held outdoors and includes less than 500 people, then anyone can enjoy it without any cards.

Further good news is that one of the most popular party locations in Budapest will open its gates to partygoers. Player reported that Budapest Park will reopen starting from the 28th of May with some smaller parties the first week and then organising full concerts with larger capacity than last year. Unfortunately, you can only visit Budapest Park and the events if you have an immunity certificate.
You can see the list of upcoming concerts in their Instagram post about the reopening, or you can visit their website to purchase tickets as well.
