Santa Claus delivering gifts from Budapest Airport
Budapest Airport joined the “Adopt a kindergarten” initiative started by three mothers, whereby voluntary donors can aid kindergartens attended mostly by severely disadvantaged children living in extreme poverty.
Over the past weeks, Budapest Airport collected numerous gift items, pencils and coloring books, and transported this package to a kindergarten in Bánszállás, to which volunteers from the company donated hygiene products and toys last December, as part of the same initiative.
IT donations to a school in Monor
Continuing the traditions began in the spring, Budapest Airport once again decided to help an educational institution by donating IT equipment. This time, the company provided network data center devices to the Ady Road Primary School in Monor, to help enhance the quality of the educational work performed by the institution and the high-level IT education of students.
In April, the airport operator donated monitors and smartphones to a primary school in the Transdanubian region, which was unable to or had great difficulty adjusting to the altered educational circumstances.
Prior to that, the company handed over desktop computers and other IT equipment to a children’s home located close to the airport. With the donations, Budapest Airport aimed to make the fulfillment of daily educational tasks easier and better and helped the supported institutions to ensure that all students should be able to participate in digital education.
